Individual Wellness Counselling

A private, non-judgemental space for the pressures, changes and low seasons that are hard to carry alone.

Introduction

Everyone goes through seasons that feel heavier than usual — a loss, a change of direction, long-running stress, or a low mood that will not lift. Talking to a registered professional can make those seasons easier to understand and to get through.

Individual counselling is a confidential, one-to-one conversation at a pace that suits you. It does not judge, rush or promise a fixed outcome; it offers steady support while you find healthier ways of coping.

Who it may support

  • Adults experiencing anxiety or low mood
  • People under sustained stress or heading toward burnout
  • Anyone navigating a major life change, loss or decision
  • People who simply want a place to be heard

What support involves

  • An initial conversation to understand what brings you in
  • Regular counselling sessions at an agreed rhythm
  • Making sense of what you are experiencing and why
  • Practical coping strategies you can use between sessions
  • Referral onward if additional care would help

What you can expect

  • A private, respectful space without judgement
  • Confidentiality, with its limits explained clearly
  • To set the pace — nobody will pressure you to say more than you want to

Questions

Good to know

Do I need to know what is wrong before I reach out?

No. Many people begin with "I just don't feel like myself." You can start from wherever you are.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Sessions are confidential, within the limits of professional and legal responsibilities, which are explained to you.

Can I use my medical aid?

The practice is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders. Cover depends on your own scheme and plan, so please check with your funder or ask us when you get in touch.
