Family & Relationship Counselling

Support for relationships under strain, and for the transitions that reshape a family.

Introduction

Relationships are one of the greatest sources of support in our lives — and, at times, of our deepest strain. Distance, conflict, separation or a major transition can leave partners and families feeling stuck.

Counselling offers a neutral, structured space where each person can be heard and where patterns can be understood without blame. It does not take sides, and it cannot promise a particular outcome — but it can open a healthier way of talking and deciding together.

Who it may support

  • Couples working through conflict, distance or loss of trust
  • Partners preparing for marriage, or adjusting to it
  • Families adjusting to separation or divorce
  • Parents and children who struggle to communicate

What support involves

  • Structured conversations with a neutral professional
  • Understanding patterns and needs on both sides
  • Practical steps toward clearer, kinder communication
  • Pre-marital, marital, post-marital and divorce counselling
  • Individual sessions alongside joint ones where helpful

What you can expect

  • A fair space where everyone is heard
  • No blame, and no pressure toward a particular decision
  • Confidential sessions, with limits explained clearly

Questions

Good to know

Can I come alone if my partner will not?

Yes. Individual sessions can help you make sense of the relationship and your own next steps, even if your partner is not ready to join.

Will you tell us whether to stay together?

No. The decision is yours. Counselling helps you see the situation clearly and communicate about it; it does not decide for you.

Do you work with the whole family?

Yes. Sessions can include couples, parents and children, or different combinations, depending on what is needed.
